Awonderful chance to experience the magic of being in a Sussex woodland at dawn as the birds begin their chorus. The morning will start in the dark, listening for the first birds to break into song. Once dawn has broken we will walk around the reserve to look for some of the birds you have been listening to.

Rudgwick Biodiversity Project

The morning will start at 4.15am on 5 May, meeting at the Rudgwick Skate Park, and will involve an hour and a half’s walk through the woods to pick out the individual singers and record the species and numbers of birds in the area. A couple of experts will be on hand to help you and a breakfast will be provided at the end. This is a time of day I very rarely see any more but I can assure you it is well worth the effort.
