| Twenty nine of us met in front of St Mary's Church, Wallington, at 6 am on the Sunday morning. We went to different places along the Wandle to listen to the birdsong and two bird experts helped us to identify them. In all, we identified 19 different birds. There was a great mixture of people from all walks of life and our youngest walker, Zoe, was just 9 years old. Hopefully, pictures will be added to this page soon as soon as our professional photographer, David, has sent them to me. Refreshments in the church after our walk were very welcome. I hope to repeat this walk next year and to make a small charge which will go towards a charity and the church funds. | |
